Technical and Abuse Policy of the Rentymate App

1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. This Technical and Abuse Policy (hereinafter: the "Policy") sets out the rules of acceptable use of the Rentymate App as well as the prohibited activities that may lead to the restriction or suspension of access to the Services.
1.2. The Policy forms an integral part of the Terms of Service of the Rentymate App and is binding on all Users.

1.4. Rentymate reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes take effect upon their publication on www.rentymate.com/abuse-policy.
2. ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
2.1. General rules:
By using Rentymate, the User undertakes to:
- Comply with applicable laws, including Polish law, European Union law, and the law of the country in which the User conducts business
- Not infringe the rights of third parties, including intellectual property rights, personal rights, and privacy
- Use the App solely for purposes consistent with its intended purpose (management of equipment rental)
- Maintain the security of the User's account and access credentials
- Provide truthful and up-to-date information
2.2. Prohibitions:
It is prohibited to use Rentymate for:
- Activities that are unlawful, illegal, or constitute a violation of the law
- Infringing the intellectual property rights of Rentymate or third parties
- Transmitting, storing, or sharing Content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, harassing, or threatening
- Distributing spam, phishing, malware, or other harmful content
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to Rentymate's systems or those of other users
- Disrupting the operation of the App or Rentymate's infrastructure
- Conducting activities competitive with Rentymate
- Reselling the Services without Rentymate's written consent
3. PROHIBITED CONTENT
3.1. Categories of prohibited content:
It is prohibited to transmit, store, or share the following categories of Content via Rentymate:
- Illegal content:
- Content that violates criminal law (e.g., incitement to commit a crime, criminal threats)
- Content infringing copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
- Content that constitutes a crime or incites the commission of one
- Content related to the financing of terrorism or money laundering
- Harmful content:
- Malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, and other harmful software
- Exploits, backdoors, rootkits
- Scripts or code used to carry out attacks (DDoS, brute-force, etc.)
- Phishing, spoofing, social engineering
- Pornographic content and illegal sexual materials:
- Child pornography (CSAM - Child Sexual Abuse Material)
- Content depicting the sexual exploitation of minors
- "Revenge porn" content (non-consensual sharing of intimate content)
- Content promoting sexual exploitation or human trafficking
- Content related to violence:
- Content inciting violence against individuals or groups
- Content glorifying acts of terrorism or extremism
- Content depicting violence against animals (animal abuse)
- Detailed instructions for the production of weapons or explosives
- Hate speech and discrimination:
- Content inciting hatred on the grounds of race, ethnic origin, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age
- Content promoting extremist ideologies (Nazism, fascism, etc.)
- Content discriminating against or degrading particular social groups
- Harassment and intimidation:
- Content intended to harass, intimidate, or torment specific individuals
- Doxxing (disclosure of personal data without consent)
- Stalking, cyberbullying
- Threats to cause physical or psychological harm
- Fraud and misleading content:
- Content that is false or misleading for the purpose of obtaining financial gain (scam)
- False reviews or Reviews
- Content infringing consumer rights (e.g., unfair commercial practices)
- Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes
- Spam and unsolicited commercial content:
- Mass sending of unsolicited messages
- Unauthorized advertising of products or services
- SEO manipulation (SEO spam, keyword stuffing)
- Privacy violations:
- Unauthorized processing of personal data
- GDPR violations
- Disclosure of confidential information without consent
3.2. User responsibility:
The User bears full responsibility for any Content that they transmit, store, or share via Rentymate. Rentymate is not responsible for Content entered by Users.
4. TECHNICAL PROHIBITIONS
4.1. Prohibited technical activities:
It is prohibited to:
- Resource abuse:
- Excessively load Rentymate's infrastructure
- Run processes that consume a disproportionate amount of system resources
- Store data unrelated to rental activities (e.g., backups of personal files)
- Use the App as file hosting
- Attempts to breach security:
- Conducting penetration tests without Rentymate's prior written consent
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
- Attempting to exploit security vulnerabilities
- Reverse engineering, decompilation, or disassembly of the software
- Circumventing or attempting to circumvent security measures (e.g., rate limiting, CAPTCHA)
- Automation and bots:
- Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools without Rentymate's consent
- Automatically creating accounts
- Automatically sending messages or performing actions in the App
- Screen scraping, web scraping, data mining
- Data manipulation:
- Falsifying HTTP headers, IP addresses, or other identifiers
- Impersonating other persons or entities
- Manipulating metadata or timestamps
- Injecting malicious data (SQL injection, XSS, etc.)
- Disrupting services:
- Carrying out DDoS attacks (Distributed Denial of Service)
- Sending an excessive number of requests in a short period of time (DoS)
- Activities intended to slow down or crash the App
- Disrupting the activities of other Users
- API violations:
- Exceeding the API limits set out in the documentation
- Using the API in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose
- Sharing API keys with third parties without consent
- Attempting to bypass API restrictions
4.2. Technical limits:
Rentymate applies the following technical limits (which are subject to change):
- Maximum size of a single file: 10 MB (product photos)
- Maximum number of API requests: 1000 per hour per account
- Maximum disk space: in accordance with the selected plan
- Maximum number of e-mail messages: 10,000 per month per account
Exceeding the limits may result in a temporary restriction of functionality or the need to change the plan.
5. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
5.1. User obligations:
The User undertakes to:
- Process personal data in accordance with the GDPR and other data protection regulations
- Have an appropriate legal basis for processing the personal data of their customers
- Inform their customers about the processing of their data, including the entrustment of processing to Rentymate
- Ensure the security of the access credentials to their account
- Promptly report to Rentymate any suspected data security breach
5.2. Prohibited activities relating to personal data:
It is prohibited to:
- Process personal data in a manner inconsistent with the GDPR
- Collect personal data without an appropriate legal basis
- Transfer personal data to third parties without consent
- Use personal data for purposes inconsistent with their original purpose of collection
- Store personal data longer than necessary
5.3. Sensitive data:
It is prohibited to store in the App special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR (data concerning health, racial origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, genetic data, biometric data), unless the User has obtained Rentymate's explicit written consent and meets all the requirements of the GDPR.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
6.1. Rentymate's copyright:
All intellectual property rights to the App, including:
- Source code, architecture, design
- Logo, trademarks, the Rentymate name
- Documentation, training materials
- User interface
belong exclusively to Rentymate or its licensors.
6.2. Prohibitions:
It is prohibited to:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineering, decompilation, disassembly, except to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by mandatory provisions of applicable law (in particular the rules on interoperability)
- Remove copyright notices or trademarks
- Use Rentymate's logo, name, or brand without written consent
- Create competing products based on Rentymate
6.3. License to User Content:
The User retains all rights to the Content they enter into the App (product descriptions, photos, data). However, by using the App, the User grants Rentymate a limited, non-exclusive license to use such Content solely for the purpose of providing the Services.
7. REPORTING ABUSE
7.1. How to report abuse:
If you have noticed a violation of this Policy or other abuse, please report it promptly to:

7.2. Information to include in a report:
A report should include:
- A detailed description of the violation or abuse
- The exact location of the issue (URL, username, account ID - if known)
- Evidence of the violation (screenshots, logs, correspondence)
- Your contact details (first name, last name, e-mail)
- The date and time the violation was noticed
7.3. Confidentiality of the report:
Rentymate treats all reports confidentially and protects the identity of the reporting party, unless:
- The reporting party consents to disclosure
- Disclosure is required by law
- It is necessary to conduct the proceedings
7.4. Report-handling process:
- Acknowledgment of receipt:
- Rentymate acknowledges receipt of the report within 24 hours
- Assessment of the report:
- Rentymate assesses the report within 3 business days
- In the case of reports concerning illegal or particularly harmful content - on a priority basis (within 24 hours)
- Remedial actions:
- Depending on the nature of the violation, Rentymate may:
- Remove or block access to the infringing Content
- Suspend or delete the account of the User violating the Policy
- Notify law enforcement authorities (in the case of suspected commission of a crime)
- Take other lawful actions
- Depending on the nature of the violation, Rentymate may:
- Feedback:
- Rentymate informs the reporting party of the actions taken (subject to the limitations arising from privacy and the law)
8. POLICY VIOLATIONS - CONSEQUENCES
8.1. Types of sanctions:
In the event of a violation of this Policy, Rentymate may take the following actions:
- Warning:
- Sending a warning requesting the removal of the violation
- Deadline for removing the violation: usually 24-48 hours
- Restriction of functionality:
- Temporary blocking of certain functions (e.g., sending e-mails, API)
- Restriction of resources or limits
- Account suspension:
- Temporary suspension of access to the App
- Suspension period: usually 7-30 days
- Possibility of restoring access after the violation has been removed
- Permanent account deletion:
- Immediate and permanent deletion of the account without the possibility of restoration
- Applied in the case of serious violations (e.g., CSAM, criminal activity, repeated violations)
- Report to law enforcement authorities:
- In the case of suspected commission of a crime
- Cooperation with law enforcement authorities, transfer of data necessary for the proceedings
- Civil and criminal liability:
- Pursuit of claims for damages
- Claim for the redress of damage caused to Rentymate or third parties
8.2. Immediate deletion:
Rentymate reserves the right to immediately delete an account without notice in the case of:
- Content related to the sexual exploitation of children (CSAM)
- Terrorist or extremist activity
- Serious security violations (intrusion attempts, DDoS attacks)
- Criminal activity
- Repeated violations of the Policy following prior warnings
8.3. Appeal:
A User whose account has been suspended or deleted has the right to file an appeal within 14 days of receiving notification of the sanction.
The appeal should be sent to: [email protected] and include:
- The User's details (first name, last name, account e-mail address)
- Case number (if one has been assigned)
- A detailed explanation of why the sanction should be reversed
- Evidence in support of the appeal
Rentymate considers appeals within 14 days of their receipt and informs the User of the decision.
9. COOPERATION WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES
9.1. Obligation to cooperate:
Rentymate cooperates with law enforcement authorities in accordance with applicable law, including:
- The Polish Police
- The Public Prosecutor's Office
- Other state authorities entitled to request information
9.2. Transfer of data:
Rentymate may transfer the User's data to law enforcement authorities in the following cases:
- On the basis of a final court order, prosecutor's order, or other legal document
- In the case of a direct threat to life or health (pursuant to Article 18c of the Act on the Protection of Personal Data)
- In order to prevent the commission of a crime or to establish its circumstances
9.3. Scope of data transferred:
Depending on the nature of the case, Rentymate may transfer:
- The User's registration data
- Access and activity logs
- Content stored in the App
- Payment data (without card numbers)
- Correspondence with Rentymate
9.4. Notifying the User:
Rentymate notifies the User of the transfer of their data to law enforcement authorities, unless:
- Notification is prohibited by law
- Notification could hinder the proceedings
- It concerns a direct threat to life or health
10. SECURITY AND INCIDENTS
10.1. Reporting security incidents:
In the event of detecting a security incident (e.g., account intrusion, data leak, suspicious activity), the User should promptly report it to:

10.2. Rentymate's response to incidents:
In the event of a security incident concerning personal data, Rentymate:
- Promptly investigates the incident and takes remedial action
- Notifies the User without undue delay (if the User is affected)
- Notifies the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) within 72 hours (if the incident poses a risk to individuals' rights)
- Documents the incident in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR
10.3. User responsibility:
The User is responsible for:
- The security of their access credentials (login, password)
- Promptly notifying Rentymate of any suspected account compromise
- Not sharing access credentials with third parties
- Using strong, unique passwords
- Enabling two-factor authentication (if available)
11. SECURITY TESTING AND BUG BOUNTY PROGRAM
11.1. Authorized security testing:
Rentymate appreciates the security community's efforts. If you wish to conduct security testing:

- Comply with the established rules and restrictions
11.2. Unauthorized testing:
Conducting security testing without prior consent is:
- A violation of this Policy
- Potentially unlawful
- May result in a report to law enforcement authorities
11.3. Reporting security vulnerabilities:
If you have discovered a security vulnerability:
- Report it responsibly to: [email protected]
- Do not exploit the vulnerability to gain access to data or the system
- Do not publicly disclose the vulnerability before it is fixed
- Give us a reasonable amount of time to fix it (usually 90 days)
11.4. Bug Bounty Program:
Rentymate is considering launching a Bug Bounty program in the future. Information will be available at: www.rentymate.com/security
12. SPAM AND UNSOLICITED COMMUNICATION
12.1. Definition of spam:
The following is considered spam:
- Mass sending of unsolicited e-mail or SMS messages
- Sending messages without the recipient's consent (with the exception of transactional communication)
- A misleading subject line or sender
- Hiding the option to unsubscribe
12.2. Rules for sending messages via Rentymate:
Rentymate allows Users to send notifications to their customers (e-mail, SMS). The User undertakes to:
- Obtain the appropriate consent from recipients (if required by law)
- Send only messages related to rental (transactional)
- Provide the ability to opt out of marketing notifications
- Comply with telecommunications law and the GDPR
12.3. Sending limits:
Rentymate applies sending limits in order to prevent spam:
- A maximum of 10,000 e-mails per month per account (standard plan)
- Higher limits available on higher plans
- Limits may be temporarily reduced in the case of suspected spam
12.4. Blocking for spam:
If the sending of spam is established, Rentymate may:
- Immediately block the message-sending function
- Suspend the account
- Permanently delete the account (in the case of serious or repeated violations)
13. FAIR USE AND RESOURCE ABUSE
13.1. Fair use principle:
Rentymate provides the Services using a shared resources model. The User undertakes to use the resources reasonably and fairly, with respect for other Users.
13.2. Examples of resource abuse:
- Storing an excessive amount of data unrelated to rental
- Performing an excessive number of operations that burden the database
- Uploading very large files (above the specified limits)
- Continuously using the API in a manner that exceeds reasonable needs
- Automatically generating a large number of requests in a short period of time
13.3. Rentymate's actions:
In the case of resource abuse, Rentymate may:
- Contact the User and request a reduction in usage
- Temporarily restrict access to certain functions (throttling, rate limiting)
- Suggest upgrading to a higher plan
- In extreme cases - suspend the account
14. FINAL PROVISIONS
14.1. Amendments to the Policy:
Rentymate reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. Users will be notified of changes via:
- E-mail notification (in the case of significant changes)
- A notice in the App's panel
- Publication on www.rentymate.com/abuse-policy
Continued use of the App after the changes are introduced constitutes acceptance of the new version of the Policy.
14.2. Interpretation:
In the event of any doubt as to the interpretation of the provisions of this Policy, Rentymate's decision is binding, subject to the User's right to appeal in accordance with § 8.3.
14.3. Severability of provisions:
If any provision of this Policy is found to be invalid or ineffective, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
14.4. Governing law:
This Policy is governed by Polish law.
